No one seems to be talking about the US government shutdown, but as of today, it is real. It is because most think these impasses usually resolve in the US “reaching” an agreement in the knick of time. Lawmakers failed to agree on competing stopgap bills: Republicans pushed a “clean” continuing resolution into November, while Democrats tied funding to extending Obamacare subsidies and blocking cuts to Medicaid (illegals included). Both measures failed in the Senate Tuesday, leaving the government shuttered.

What happens next? More importantly, what are the key trigger for October?
